Coin Chute Assembly

A coin chute assembly for a CPI Gryphon Coin Changer

This component was part of a wider project to retro a previously cash-only pay-on-foot system to also allow the use of coins. this was designed specially to be 3d printed for the prototype phase (and due to time constraints). At this time, this project is ongoing and I am testing the functionality, fit and etc. The final design will be printed in a semi-transparent Nylon material however, in future, this particular part will likely be slightly re-designed for injection molding.  The component prints in 2 parts: the base and the snap on top cover.

The design incorporates internal rain deflection baffles to compliment the built in rain drainage in coin mechanism. Special attention had to be made to the cutouts and chute profile to reduce risk of coin jamming.
